BPC-157 — the supply line

Tendon and ligament heal slowly because barely any blood reaches them. No blood means no delivery of oxygen, nutrients or repair cells.

Preclinical research on BPC-157 centres on new vessel growth into that starved tissue, and on keeping repair cells alive while they work.

TB-500 — the movement

TB-500 is a fragment of thymosin beta-4, which sequesters G-actin — keeping a pool of actin ready for cells to move.

In a rat full-thickness wound model, thymosin beta-4 increased re-epithelialisation 42% by day four and up to 61% by day seven versus saline, with increased collagen deposition and angiogenesis.

Why they're paired

One addresses supply, the other addresses movement. They're describing different steps of the same repair process.

Note that published human trial data for the TB-500 fragment specifically is very limited — much of the thymosin beta-4 clinical work used the full-length protein, not the fragment.

Common questions

What's the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500?

Broadly, preclinical research on BPC-157 centres on blood vessel growth and cell survival; on thymosin beta-4 it centres on actin regulation and cell migration. Different steps of repair.

Is the 'Wolverine stack' a real thing?

It's an internet name for combining these peptides, not a clinical protocol. Whether any combination is appropriate is a physician's call.

Is there human trial data on TB-500?

Very limited for the 17-amino-acid fragment specifically. Clinical work on corneal wound healing and venous ulcers used full-length thymosin beta-4.
